Press Release: New England Harley-Davidson Dealers Association

2006 Tour Card Winner Announced

Who says you can't get anything for free!

Sheldon's Harley-Davidson was host to a large gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts Saturday January 20th, for the drawing of a free Harley-Davidson Street Bob® motorcycle. The give away was sponsored by the New England Harley-Davidson Dealers Association, of which Sheldon's is a member. To qualify for the prize, riders needed to visit all of the twenty five Harley-Davidson association dealers in all six New England states, during the year 2006. Sheldon's was chosen as the site of the raffle due to having the most entrants in the contest.   At 11 a.m., the anxious crowd gathered around Sheldon's antique motorcycle museum area for the drawing. The winner was picked at random by Amy Bishop, the association president and owner of Ocean State Harley-Davidson in Warwick R.I. Only 90 contestants qualified for the drawing so the odds were pretty good of winning the 15,000 dollar motorcycle.

And the lucky winner is................... Steve King of Holden, Massachusetts! A boisterous "that's me" could be heard from among the onlookers. Steve was present with his excited wife, Kathleen, to receive the keys and take possession of his sought-after prize. Steve is already a Harley rider, and is looking forward to adding another bike to his stable!   The contest will be held again for 2007, with the grand prize being an FLHT Electra Glide® Standard.

Rules and an entry form can be found at the Associations' website: ridenewengland.com

Congratulations, Steve!
